The Robson Ranch Choir is bringing back the ’70s. “That ’70s Show” will be performed on Saturday, Aug. 8, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 9, at 4 p.m.
The show, originally planned for the spring concert in April, will have some of the best songs ever written.
You will hear some of your all-time favorite tunes of the ’70s. Back then, songs had purpose, meaning, and were truly heartfelt.
Songs like “Best of My Love” by the Eagles, “Sing” by the Carpenters, and Aretha’s “You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman.”
Who can forget Stevie Wonder declaring his joyous love for his new baby girl in “Isn’t She Lovely.”
Then there is Carole King’s “Answer to Friend,” James Taylor’s song “I’ve Seen Fire and I’ve Seen Rain” with “You’ve Got a Friend.”
All these and more lyrical works of art that lift, inspire, and comfort you like a snuggly blanket will be performed by your one and only Robson Ranch Community Choir. You will be taken back to memories of “Da Plane, Da Plane,” “Good Night, John Boy,” and “Up Your Nose with a Rubber Hose.”
Don’t forget you, the audience, will be looking dynamite since you are asked to be part of the ’70s Show by wearing your favorite ’70s attire.
The show promises to be a totally rad and far out experience for all.
Boy howdy and don’t we need it! After all, “What The World Needs Now” is love, sweet love, and “That ’70s Show” will definitely be bringing the love.
Tickets go on sale July 20 in the lobby of the clubhouse from 9 to 11 a.m., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until show day.
Cost is $10; $12 at the door.
You can also go to our website at rrmusicclub.com and purchase through PayPal.
So, get your leisure shirt, bell bottoms, blue eyeshadow, Farrah Fawcett or Dorothy Hamill hairdos and come for a step back in time.
